EDUCATION
WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER

As the world decides to extend virtual schooling due to CV-19, education for some may not be an option. The academic achievement gap is widening due to lack of digital resources for minority children in lower income households.  We are presently accepting donations for used digital devices. Together we hope to assist in this space.

WHO WE ARE

When COVID hit, along with the subsequent lockdown, like everyone else my first thoughts were to my family and self. As I saw events unfold in China, then Italy and onward, my thoughts turned to my friends and those around them.

As I learned more, both firsthand and anecdotally, I began to feel an urgency to act, which became my passion project, Pillar of Changes.

With a group of likeminded family, friends and colleagues, we were able to raise awareness and funds to help supply healthcare workers and first responders in underserved communities in my hometown of New York and beyond this past Spring and now into the Summer.

As the pandemic progressed, so has the societal and economic impacts; especially on children and education. That is why we are turning Pillar of Changes attention to also support education and the digital needs of displaced children in homeless and domestic abuse shelters and poverty stricken areas, both here in the US and in my ancestral homeland, Ecuador.

HEALTHCARE

NEW YORK CALIFORNIA MIAMI

COVID-19 has affected the minority populations in New York, California, and Miami. Our focus is to collaborate with the healthcare sector to ensure health to the Latin Americans and the other minority populations crippled by the impacts of the pandemic.

We help hospitals and testing centers manage the disease while assisting the local communities in healing from the pandemic adversities.

HEALTHCARE AND BEYOND

ECUADOR

In Ecuador, the city of Guayaquil and neighboring communities have been hit most with COVID-19. The death rate is catastrophic, and the city has been sealed off from outside contacts to contain the pandemic. The sick are hopeless, especially the poor village communities.

Pillar of Changes endeavors to give hope to these affected communities by providing medical and food supplies.

Together with the local, trusted groups on site, we work to revive the businesses of these people whose livelihood is 40% agriculture. Ecuador is resuming its normal operations, now that deaths from Covid-19 are taking a downward trend.

As Pillar of Changes Charity, our focus has now shifted to helping this community get back to its feet again. Our dream is to see the disadvantaged in this society, get resources to start anew, and that's why we wish to partner with other NGOs who share our same vision  to give Ecuador hope.
